The Futuristic USS Zumwalt (DDG-1000) • The Future Is Here

The future guided-missile destroyer USS Zumwalt (DDG-1000) leaves Bath Iron Works in Maine headed for Baltimore, Maryland where it will be officially commissioned for duty on October 15, 2016. Until the Zumwalt is commissioned, it is still designated PCU (Pre-Commissioned Unit). USS Zumwalt is reportedly the world’s most technologically advanced surface ship to date.
