America Prepared (1941)

Item title reads - America prepared. Captain James Roosevelt, son of the President, returns to America from the Middle East, he waves as he comes ashore. M/S of him stood with his wife, he makes a speech saying the job facing the allies is a tremendous one. M/S of Mr Sumner Welles, Under Secretary of State, sat at a desk. He makes a speech about the Russo-German conflict saying any defence against Hitlerism will hasten downfall of leaders to benefit of peace and security. Various shots of army on exercises. Aeroplanes fly over and drop dummy parachutes, the soldiers fire their machine guns at them then run in with bayonets. Various shots as soldiers pop up out of trap doors in the ground and start firing, they also throw dummy grenades after trucks.
