Naval Aviation

This series, “Naval Aviation: A Personal History“, features interviews with many of the surviving movers and shakers from the first days of aircraft in the U S Navy. In keeping with the treatment of the LTA side of the story, airship contributions are minimalized. One is never told of the alphabetical series of non-rigids DN-1 through J, 1917-1920s. However at least the rigids get some attention, and there is an interview with VADM C. E. Rosendahl. Most of the footage of airships herein is used correctly, unlike today’s documentaries which show most any long silver shape in their effort to cash in on blowing up the Hindenburg.
