U.S. Marines conduct a live fire range during Sound and Fury Exercise. U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team 2/5, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct a live fire range on Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, July 6, 2022. Infantry Marines train with various weapon systems, including machine guns, grenade launchers, and rockets, making them more flexible on a battlefield. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
