Canada will donate 43 AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles to Ukraine, directly from the Canadian Armed Forces inventory. Defence Minister Anita Anand said that the donation is aimed at bolstering Ukraine’s air defence capabilities against Russia. The Sidewinder, typically used as a short-range air-to-air weapon carried by combat aircraft, is being supplied to Ukraine for the first time.
