Audition For Racing Drivers (1962)

Snetterton Racing Circuit, Norfolk. Young men, all members of the Jim Russell Driving School are auditioning for a job at Snetterton. Reg Parnell, world famous motor racing champion is looking for “that extra touch of class“ amongst the drivers. Jim Russell is seen speaking to his drivers. The young men climb into their cars and speed off. Various shots of the cars roaring around the racetrack. Henry Morrogh is the chosen winner. He gets a chance to try out the new Bowmaker Cooper. Shots of him zooming around the track intercut with shots of crowd watching and C/U of a stopwatch. Other trainee drivers featured include David Cuff and Teddy Pilette.
