The House is Rockin’ - Stevie Ray Vaughan - Bass Cover - Request

Hello :) This is the requested transcription I’ve done of the Stevie Ray Vaughan song “The House is Rockin’“ from his 1989 album In Step . The bass player on this track was Tommy Shannon. You can find this transcription at Muzento when you sign up with an Intermediate Lesson Plan. This is one of the songs where if I were playing it in a band or a live situation, I wouldn’t worry about every single 8th note. When I transcribe, I try to transcribe what I hear (when I can hear it). Again, if I were playing this is a live situation, I wouldn’t worry about the double notes (8th notes) that he put in. This one was tough to hear everything that he was doing. It sounded and felt like he was doubling up the notes, but not all the time and not in the same spots. I ended up editing this one a bunch of times trying to get as close as I could. In the end I think it’s all about keeping it driving and danceable. This can be done with quarters, 8ths or both! :)
