Various of protesters chanting slogans STORYLINE: Jordanian security forces dispersed angry demonstrators who again tried to reach the Israeli embassy in Amman on Tuesday evening and during the early hours of Wednesday. Several thousand demonstrators flocked to more than one location close to the embassy for the third day in a row, for an event that activists call the siege of the embassy, in response to the Israeli war on Gaza. Security forces arrested a number of demonstrators, including at least one female. Demonstrators are demanding that the Jordanian government stops all forms of normalization with Israel and cancels all agreements, most notably the Wadi Araba Jordan-Israel peace treaty. Activists are also demanding an end to the land bridge that transports goods from Gulf countries into Israel. Security forces prevented a number of photographers and cameramen from filming the arrest of the demonstrators and asked them to leave the site. Demonstrators demanded the immediate release of all those arrested. Find out more about AP Archive: Twitter: Facebook: Instagram: You can license this story through AP Archive:
