Mountain Biking the High Peaks of Narvik

The mountains of northern Norway offer pure freeride. In this adventure, we go beyond what has been biked before, discovering what’s possible in Skjomen, Rombaken, and Erfjord. This is the second episode of the series: In Search of Norway’s Best MTB Trails. The focus is now on Narvik. Narvikfjellet has one of the few uplifts in the region and boasts great enduro trails, but in my opinion, the true strength of the area lies in its limitless number of freeride lines. Here, ski touring and freeride skiing finally meet mountain biking. The story starts deep in Skjombotn along Nordkalottleden. On the border between Sweden and Norway, we find the mountain Muohkirisoalgi. Sildviktinden, a peak deep within Rombaken (Rombaksfjorden), is also ridden. Additionally, the two famous mountains, Reinnesfjellet and Verdenssvaet are ridden. All combined in an effort to create a cinematic mountain bike film. Rider: Joar Paganus Camera: Sony ZV-1 Drone: DJI Mini 3 Pro The trails on Reinnesfjellet and Verdenssvaet can be found on trailforks: Thank you for watching!
