I haven’t Caught One of These Trout In Over a Decade... (Fly Fishing)

THE INFAMOUS GOLDEN RAINBOW TROUT!! Growing up the golden rainbow trout was always mystery. You’d see one every once in a while but rarely could you catch them. Because these fish are so easily seen they get fished for pretty hard. This usually makes them one of the more difficult fish to catch. I don’t typically stock trout fish much anymore so I hadn’t actually landed one of these golden rainbow trout in more than a decade. Luckily in this video I was able to site fish and catch a handful on the day. The actual purpose of the trip was to fish for wild brown trout, but they weren’t being very cooperative. At the end of the day the browns finally turned on and we were able land a few, but the stock trout fish kept us entertained. Thanks for watching these videos and for the support! It means a lot.
