In May 2019, Brute Strength was approached by Disciples 4 Christ Outreach to enter the Alfred D. Hughes Unit Maximum Security Prison located in Gatesville, Tx to host a CrossFit style competition pitting 2 elite Brute Strength CrossFit Games Veterans, Ryan and Zach Sowder versus the offenders.
