Honor

Returning home after her father’s death, Emma (Lucy Algard-Dahl) sets out on a hunting trip with her brother, Jason (Taylor Napier). Hoping to reconnect, she instead discovers that her brother has joined a fringe religious group. Honor is a short film that examines the gay purge currently taking place in Chechnya through the eyes of a brother and sister in rural America. In the wake of a wave of anti-LGBTQI legislation being passed and discussed in many states in America, Honor serves as a reminder of what’s at stake, not just for the people of Chechnya, but for us all. -- NC SOS Crisis Group is a project that helps LGBTIQ people and their families who are in danger in the North Caucasus. The project was founded by human rights activists from various organisations. We have been helping people since 2017 when the world discovered the scope of the violence faced by LGBTIQ community in Chechnya (Russian region). We came together as NC SOS in October 2021.
