Son of Lassie - The first meeting between June Lockhart and Lassie!

Long before the LASSIE TV series, June Lockhart appeared in 1945’s SON OF LASSIE. She played the Elizabeth Taylor character from LASSIE, COME HOME. This clip also features a young Peter Lawford and screen veterans Donald Crisp and Nigel Bruce. The film is a direct sequel to LASSIE, COME HOME. The male collie actor Pal played both Lassie and her son Laddie. The film is available, along with three other Lassie movies, on a Greatest Classic Films Collection DVD from Turner Entertainment and Warner Bros.
