Howard Carter.

Howard Carter: 9may 1874- 2march 1939. Was an English archaelogist and egyptologist noted as a primary discoverer of the tomb of Tutankhamun. He first came to Egypt in 1891 at the age of 17. In 1908, Carter was employed by Lord Carnarvon. Carnarvon financed Carter’s work in the Valley of the Kings till 1914 because of World War I. Work was resumed in 1917. On 4 november 1922 Carter’s water carrier found the steps leading to the tomb. The cataloging and clearance of the tomb continued until 1932. Carte
