HIKING IN GREECE - 1300 km of pure adventure - 2019

You think you know what Greece looks like? We thought the same... Our thruhike across Europe brought us on the trails of Greece, the 13th country of this adventure. We hiked on the Epirus trail, followed the Pindus mountain range from North to South, climbed on Vardoussia and Mount Giona before reaching the mythical site of Delphi. From there we headed to the Aegean Sea, spent an amazing time on the island of Skopelos and went back on mainland on the Pelion peninsula. After that, Mount Olympus was calling us and we had no choice but climbing on its higest peak: Mytikas. We had wonderful mountain experience in the Pierian mountains before crossing the Lake Kerkini National Park, our last stop in Greece. That’s it for the itinerary! Our experience wasn’t what we had imagined either.
