Immersive Aerial Art Installation Floating Through the Treetops at Atlanta’s Botanical Garden.

Seeing is believing when it comes to the Atlanta Botanical Garden as it presents “Dream Flora” May 15 through September 19. Part of Shearn’s signature Skynet Art Series, “Dream Flora” is composed of red, orange, purple, and yellow nylon streamers attached to webs of fishing net that are suspended by ropes in the trees of the Southern Seasons Garden. The installation extends to the Canopy Walk, where it flows above, under, and beside the suspension bridge. Crossing the entry road at two points the kinetic sculpture glides through the air like a flock of birds. The 12,500-square-foot Skynet art piece ranges in width from five to 25 feet and in height from 12 to 40 feet. The design playfully winds through the all-green tree canopy in all its brilliant colors, leading guests through Storza Woods to experience the garden in a fresh new way.
