Chemnitzer Weihnachtsmarkt - Chemnitz Christmas tree is up - 05 Nov 2022

An approximately 25 meter high, 63-year-old spruce is now on the Chemnitz market. It was felled around 11 a.m. in the Beerheide forest district, Adorf forest district, and loaded onto the transporter. At 4:30 p.m. the spruce arrived at the Chemnitz Neumarkt and was then set up. The spruce reaches three meters into the ground in a sleeve. Traditionally, the waiting time for the tree to arrive in Chemnitz was shortened again with grilled food and mulled wine at the market. As every year, the employees of Techno-Farm und Service GmbH from Neukirchen/Erzgebirge did their best to bring the tree to Chemnitz with care and police support.
