From battery cell to pack: KUKA paves the way to more sustainability

Robots from the KUKA product portfolio can be used to automatically manufacture a wide variety of components for e-vehicles. At automatica 2023, KUKA has set up an exemplary application with various robot models for the production of battery cells, modules and packs. A KR SCARA CR robot handles the battery cells, while the KR CYBERTECH takes care of perfect welding of the battery housing. When it comes to handling large and heavy battery packs, the KR FORTEC ultra comes into operation.
