Group members were Gaynel Hodge (lead), Delmer Wilburn (1st tenor), Jody Jefferson (2nd tenor/baritone) and Gaynel’s brother Alex Hodge (bass). The Hodge’s mother, Katherine Hodge, was their manager! “THIS HEART OF MINE” was written and produced by producer/songwriter/record label owner George Motola. He is probably best known for co-writing Jesse Belvin’s “GOODNIGHT MY LOVE”. George Motola also co-owned Empire Records and had over 120 songs published by BMI. He has written and produced for many Los Angeles vocal groups (The Turks, The Tempters, The Preludes just to name a few.) He did most of his co-writing with his wife, Ricki Page who also had her own successful singing career.
