Ahead of the government statement, the country’s lawmakers released mixed reactions to the report on Tuesday. Representing the ruling People Power Party, its senior spokesperson Kang Min-kuk said that the party, along with the Yoon administration, will do their best to negate the worries of South Koreans and ensure their safety. In contrast, the main opposition Democratic Party concluded that the report is quote “empty“, adding that it does not show the results of the test or inspection results of the liquid processing system’s performance sufficiently.
