Bench made from a very old oak log

In this video, I demonstrate the process of making a bench from a very old oak log that once served as the foundation of an old clay house where my grandparents lived. Judging by the number of annual rings I could count, this oak tree was over a hundred years old when it was cut down, and as the foundation log, it lay there for nearly 100 years, so it is truly ancient wood. I hope that this bench will also serve people for many more years to come. The edges of this oak log were quite fragile in places, so I decided to reinforce and fill weak spots with epoxy resin. I’m happy with the outcome – the bench turned out strong and stable, it has historical value and preserves the memory of generations.
