DAW 101: How to listen for Phase Issues

When recording instruments using multiple microphones, or even in the mixing process, it’s important to check the polarity of signals hitting the multiple microphones to ensure phase coherence. If you are only mixing a session, what should you listen for if you think there’s a phase problem?
