Gawaher (1957)

This is Lebanon born bellydancer Gawaher in a scene from the 1957 drama ‘Conflict with Life’ (Sira ma’al Hayah صراع مع الحياة). The man leering at her is ’Mr Evil’ himself, Mahmoud al played a ’baddie’ quite like Mahmoud al Meliji. The film also starred Hind Rostom, Ahmad Ramzy and Amal Farid.
