AZULES (blue), piece for classical guitar inspired by Van Gogh’s painting “Tree-roots“ (1890) reveals the enigmatic world of color blue and its multiple tones and variations. This piece is part of a “suite“ named as the referred painting and structured following the different colors presented on it. Azules was commissioned by concertist Rafael Aguirre Miñarro in 2007 and then recorded on CD for the VIII “Julián Arcas“ International Classical Guitar Competition.
