The Police - Does Everyone Stare (FYYC’s Extended Remix & Special Video)

With The Police, and especially Sting in fact, persisting in their refusal (or rather fear, I think) to make that new material that everyone is really waiting for, we - the loyal fans - have to get the job done. So take a moment for this refreshed version of ’Does Everyone Stare’... Since it’s a typical Stewart song, I’ve tried to flesh out Stewart’s rather dynamic approach in this remix. So the song really accelerates halfway, where it interferes with a cover made by Stewart and Saúl Hernández from 1998. Along with, of course, the more harmonious accents of Andy and Sting in the first part. And oh yes, by the way: I cracked the secret of the ’unknown opera singer’ in the original intro (Stewart indicates in interviews that even he doesn’t remember who was used in the original). This is Georg Ots, an Estonian singer, who died before Reggatta de Blanc was recorded. Stewart used a small sound shard from the Soviet film soundtrack Mister X, Ots masterpiece that made him famous in 1958. Of course mister Ots gets a fair share in this remix ;-) I made the video only to support the audio remix. All the footage used is on the internet and is (of course) taken from Stewart’s tasteful documentary ’Everyone Stares’. Really hope you enjoy it! If you do, please leave a short message!
