Interview with Sigourney Weaver from My Salinger Year

In Philippe Falardeau’s My Salinger Year, Sigourney Weaver plays a literary agent whose company represents some of the greatest American authors of the last century - Agatha Christie, Dylan Thomas, F. Scott Fitzgerald and for the purposes of this film, Catcher in the Rye author, the reclusive J.D. Salinger. He was intensely private, avoided people, even telephone calls and at the height of his fame lived in a remote farmhouse near Cornish, New Hampshire farmhouse, far from prying eyes. Weaver’s character communicates with Salinger and no one else meets or speaks to him, especially his adoring fans whose letters crowd her office. One day, an intern picks up the phone and it’s the man himself. Weaver immediately sets to work on his secret project. What She Said’ Anne Brodie spoke with Weave Hot Topics. Big Laughs. Bold Ideas.
