⚠️In 11 provinces of Ecuador, bad weather made it difficult to get food and medicine!

Ecuador’s suffering began when Ecuador’s National Risk and Emergency Management Service reported 61 cases of severe weather in 11 provinces. According to local municipality authorities, the flooding occurred in the western parts of the city after 95 mm of rain fell in a short period of about 12 hours. This is the highest rainfall intensity since 2003. The rains caused flows of mud and stones that quickly descended from the slopes of the Pichincha volcano, which towers over the capital, paving the way for destruction on the streets of the capital, resulting in the destruction of infrastructure, engineering structures, bridges, roads and railways. Local and state authorities are providing assistance to the affected population, plans are being developed to compensate for the damage caused, all communal and rescue services are involved, and volunteers are involved in helping.
