Ike launches first combat sorties from Arabian Gulf

ARABIAN GULF (July 22, 2016) The aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) launches F/A-18conducts flight operations in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Dwight D. Eisenhower and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security operation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
