Russia’s Communist Party will hold a rally celebrating 98 years since the creation of the Red Army on Tuesday. Established in 1918, the Red Army was created by decree to protect the population, territorial integrity and civil liberties in the territory of the Soviet state and was replaced by the Russian Ground Forces in December 1991.
