King of Sweden, a Scottish soft-shoe step dance

Valentina Burtseva (UKA Fellow) is dancing The King of Sweden, an elegant traditional Scottish soft-shoe step dance. The music is Keith Smith’s and Muriel Johnstone’s recording from St. Andrew’s Step Dance Collection available on streaming platforms. The dance was filmed in autumn 2022 at Theresa Durova’s Theatre (Moscow, Russia) during an intermission of a wonderful family show ’Heather ale’ loosely based on a range of Scottish legends.
