Himeji Castle - Hyogo ᴴᴰ ● 姫路城 兵庫

► Himeji castle dates back to 1333, and what makes it so special compared to many other Japanese castles is, it’s original, meaning the Japanese didn’t have re-construct it after WW2 as its the case with many other castles - it actually survived the extensive bombings of Himeji during WW2. It’s really an impressive and complex structure, and in 1993, it was registered as one of the first UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Japan. - Enjoy!
