Stepping Out - By The Max Rivers Girls (1929)

The Max Rivers Girls do a high kick routine arm in arm. “Something with lots of kick in it.“ They wear lacy costumes which show off their legs and dance in front of a curtained backdrop. We see their legs in C/U, and their upper bodies and faces in C/U. Top shot of the girls as they dance and throw their heads back. Shots of the dance from lots of different angles. C/U of the girls’ bent legs as the camera goes in close. The girls pair off and hop around the stage then do some more high kicks. “These young dancers have a lot of kicks in their repertoire, but the Slow-camera can show them another one or two.“ Slow motion footage of the girls dancing. Short shot - story probably incomplete. Was item in Eve’s Film Review issue 405. Note: flash-frame intertitles. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
