aLIEz - ED2 [Piano]

Sheet music → Here is my piano cover of aLIEz, the second ending song of , which aired in summer 2014. It is the spiritual successor of my Bios (Guilty Crown OST) arrangement I did years ago, because it features a lot of big left hand jumps and it’s from the same composer: Hiroyuki Sawano. The very first thing I noticed while listening to aLIEz is the ever-present drum set, constantly playing an off-beat rhythm throughout the entire piece. I tried to replicate it in the left hand by playing a pulsating rhythm which is completely independent of the right hand. This whole piece is essentially a rhythm etude to train the coordination of both of your hands: Multiple layers of different rhythms are played at the same time in certain passages.
