An Indian fusion band from the 70s that influenced my musical style. Shakti’s leading member was guitarist John McLaughlin, also featuring the Indian violin player L. Shankar, the famous tabla player Zakir Hussain, with Ramnad Raghavan on Mridangam, and T. H. “Vikku“ Vinayakram on Ghatam. Much of this documentary was filmed by Canadian Public Broadcasting.
