Yes, Russian “koshki“ (cats) don’t understand ’kitty-kitty’, they understand ’ks-ks’. How to call a cat in Russian? Just say ’ks ks’. ’Ks-ks’ is short for ’kis-kis’ or ’kisa-kisa’ which is literally ’kitty-kitty’ because ’kisa’ is the Russian for ’kitty’.
