Pinball Wizard/Abaca String Band

Pete Townshend told NY guitarist Kevin Kuhn (principal guitarist for the Broadway version of “Tommy“) that among other things he was listening to a lot of the music of Elizabethan lutanist John Dowland when he wrote “Tommy“. So, we like to say our version of “Pinball Wizard“ is an aria from the most famous Elizabethan opera of all time! The Abaca String Band was founded in 1991 by Andrew Schulman. The members of the group are Schulman, Music Director/8-String Guitar, Robert Zubrycki/Violin, Tamara Volskaya/Domra-Mandolin, Julie Goodale/Viola, Bradley Lovelace/Double Bass.
