Walking in WEILBURG / Germany 🇩🇪 - 4K 60fps (UHD)

Weilburg / Germany is a town with just over inhabitants, the third biggest town in Limburg-Weilburg district in Hesse, Germany. Until the early 1950s, Weilburg was a center of iron mining. Many mines were administered from here and monitored under mining law. The main attraction of Weilburg today is the castle situated high on the hill. The Hochschloss (“High Palace“), built between 1530 and 1572 where we start our tour. The castle once made it possible to control the Lahn River as well as the “High Road“ from Frankfurt to Cologne and the Via Publica from Flanders to Bohemia nearby. Between 1664 and 1719, the castle town was renovated. Weilburg thus became one of the most completely preserved examples of a small German residence of absolutism from which we see a bit on this walking tour.
