Granada’s Brideshead Revisited is a true gem, with an ensemble of great acting from ALL the actors - everyone was just perfect and gave very accurate rendering of Waugh’s original characters, from the leads to minor roles like Samgrass, Rex, Mulcaster... Gielgud, Olivier, and Claire Bloom are just so effortlessly good, up to their usual par; I especially think Bloom did an outstanding job playing a very difficult role, she had that exact “voice as quiet as a prayer and as powerful.“ And Nickolas G
