Mao’s mountain hideaway, located at Phoenix Mountain, Yangjialing, Wangjiaping and Yiyuan. Mao Zedong (1:26) accompanied by staff and an unidentified westerner. An informal class is shown, with the instructor supposedly teaching military tactics for the defeat of the Japanese and the Nationalist Army. The “tactics of terror “ -- guerilla warfare -- are taught. Mao speaks (2;04). Japanese air attack; bombs are dropped on buildings and civilian targets as Japan at
