What an incredible honor it was to meet a firefighter who charged into harm’s way, fully expecting to die in the process, hell-bent on saving as many lives as he could. This is what heroism looks like. Thank you, Bobby Senn, for sharing your story with us. It’s been 20 long years since 9/11, and so much has happened. So much has changed, so many lives have been lost in the conflict that followed, and so much has been gained as well. We hope you take this day to remember the terrible loss our country sustained two decades ago, and that you use that somber reality to fuel you in life as you move forward. To live a full, honest, and positive life. Our nation mourns still, yes, but none more than the loved ones of those who lost someone dear that day. Our hearts have extended to you all since the day the towers fell, and they extend to you again today.
