Kyle Meredith with... Russell Crowe

Russell Crowe on New Music, Gladiator Sequel, & Wine Nights With Michael Shannon Russell Crowe joins Kyle Meredith to talk about his latest album under his Indoor Garden Party series, Prose and Cons, and gathering members of his previous bands 30 Odd Foot of Grunt and The Ordinary Fear of God to form The Gentlemen Barbers. The Academy Award winning actor discusses the band’s ability to drift into endless genres, how he’s still having fun finding his own voice, the time RZA joined him on stage, and walking away from a record deal with Tommy Motolla. Crowes goes on to reveal why he’s covering Nick Cave, Dire Straits, and Leonard Cohen on this set, and how the band will be playing The Colosseum, relevant for any fans of his movie The Gladiator. Speaking of, Crowe also dishes his possible displeasure with the upcoming sequel to the 2000 mega-classic, as well as some fun stories about teaming up with Michael Shannon once again after working on 2013’s Man of Steel for the upcoming Nuremberg, and the interesting revelation that he’s never seen plenty of his own films. #russellcrowe #thegladiator #indoorgardenparty
