Is Lift Off Distance ruining your FPS aim? Quake Veteran Thoughts

The Lift Off Distance of a mouse is how high the sensor can track when you’re lifting the mouse off the desk. We’ve generally measured it with DVDs but most mice are under (about 2 DVDs) and on the absolute best optical sensors it’s below and even below 1mm. The arguments I’ve seen have been that because the sensor keeps tracking the movement, people can’t get their aim where it should be.
