Vancouver police start removing Downtown Eastside tent encampment

The VPD has cleared out several blocks of tents in the Downtown Eastside, but not before a standoff with supporters of the encampment. As Susana da Silva tells us, East Hastings Street — where people have been living in tents and make-shift structures — was shut down as the process began.
