Tutorial - Ciondolo a tutto perle - peyote

Materiale: Rivoli 14mm Perle 8mm Rocailles 15/0 Delica 15/0 Biconi swarovski 3mm Filo Miyuki Ago misura 12 Chi fosse interessato, lo schema da cui ho preso spunto è questo Instructions in English: Supplies: 11o delicas, color A 15o seed beads (she calls them rocaille) color B 18 - 8mm pearls 9 - 3mm bicone crystals 1 - 14mm rivoli thread (1 wings span should be more than enough, I used Fireline when I made it) needle (size 10 or 12 beading needle) Cabbing the Rivoli (front) (whenever I say “front to back“, I mean from the front of the rivoli (the pretty, shiny, side) to back of the rivoli (the foiled, not so pretty, side ;0), this is just meant as a guide so that you know which row to go to when relocating) - pick up 36 11o delicas, go around in a circle and come out the first bead added - work 2 rows of peyote stitch with 11o delicas (for a total of four rows) - work 1 row of peyote stitch with 15o (different color) - to embellish (peyote picots), coming out of a high bead, *pick up 1 15o seed, relocate by going through the next high bead, low bead and high bead. - Repeat * all the way around (Rivoli back) - then relocate to the back, coming out of a high bead - add your rivoli, facing the completed side (front) - work 2 rows of peyote stitch with 15o seeds to close - from where you just enclosed the rivoli in the back (so, back to front) relocate to the 2nd row of delicas added) Note: I would recommend continuing to cab the back of the rivoli working decreasing peyote stitch with the 15o seeds to protect the foil from coming off. Then relocate to the 2nd row of delicas added to continue. Flower embellishment We are ready to add the pearls! You will be working with **Stitch in the Ditch for this row (count: 18 - 11o delicas, 9 - 8mm pearls) - *pick up 1 11o delica, relocate to next bead, pick up 1 8mm pearl, 1 11o delica, go back down through the pearl and relocate to the next bead. - repeat * all the way around - relocate up through the first pearl added and come out of the 11o that’s sitting on top, then (2nd row of pearls) (count: 18 - 11o delicas, 9 - 8mm pearls) - *pick up, 1 11o delica, 1 8mm pearl, 1 11o delica and go through the 11o delica that’s sitting on top of the adjacent pearl (forming a kind of bridge) - repeat * all the way around We are going to be working on the front of the pendant. (count: 180 - 15o seed, or thereabouts) - you should now be coming out of a 11o delica (the one that sits on top of the pearl of the first row of pearls added since you just finished adding the 2nd row of pearls) a - pick up 10 15o seed beads b - go through the 11o delica, on the 2nd row (front to back of the rivoli), the one that sits in the center between 2 pearls of the first row of pearls added (13:30 to 13:47 in the video) c - repeat a d - go through the 15o seed bead that sits on top of the pearl of the first row of pearls added - repeat a through d, all the way around Turn your work. Now we are going to embellish the back! (count: 180 - 15o seed, or thereabouts) - - you should now be coming out of a 11o delica (the one that sits on top of the pearl of the first row of pearls added) a - pick up 10 15o seed beads b - go through the 11o delica that you added while working Stitch in the Ditch (refer to ** above), it sits between the pearls (13:30 to 13:47 in the video) c - repeat step a d - go through the adjacent 11o delica that sits on top of the pearl of the first row of pearls added - repeat a through d, all the way around Now to finish! (9 - 3mm crystals) - coming out of a 11o delica (the one that sits on top of the pearl of the first row of pearls added) - relocate by passing through the next 11o delica, 8mm pearl and 11o delica e - coming out of an 11o delica on the side of an 8mm pearl, f - pick up 1 3mm crystal g - relocate by passing through the next 11o delica, 8mm pearl and 11o delica - repeat e through f, all the way around To add the loop for the bail - relocate by coming out of one side of a 3mm crystal - pick up 10 15o seed beads - pass your needle through the other side of the 3mm to form a loop Note: in the video she ends here by making a knot right where you finish your loop of 15o seeds, but I would recommend going through the 15o seed beads loop you just made at least 1 more time to reinforce (the pearls can be pretty heavy), then weave down through the work making knots and securing the work, then cut thread.
