Paignton Zoo (1964)

Paignton, Devon. Various shots of gibbons climbing trees, we see a black swan on the water and a crane wading through. There is a sign saying ’Danger Keep Out’ beside a model railway which runs round the zoo. A man wades through the water to gibbon island and fills the food tray. We see a chimpanzee smoking a cigarette given to him by the keeper. We also see deer, a leopard and a hippopotamus. Various shots of children on animal rides. Several shots of the chimp smoking again and lighting one cigarette to another, he turns it round and eats the lit end.
