Why soldiers in interviews and videos are always so positive and happy?

War always seems “fine“ for the soldier and they feel like “they have it in control“ - until just ONE single military failure, most of the brothers would be wiped out and you left wondering, how you managed to feel so positive for the past months or even year. This applies on both sides by the way. Almost every interview of soldiers, especially those haven’t get sent to a suicide mission, feels confident and positive. The reality is, you dont have a chance to feel negative - because when you do get yourself in a “shit hits the fan“ situation, high chance is, you are dead. Its like this famous diagram the bullet holes of returning war planes.
