Prince Harry named ’Living Legend of Aviation’ in Beverly Hills

Prince Harry made a solo appearance at the Living Legends of Aviation Awards in Beverly Hills on Friday (January 19), where he was recognised for his helicopter pilot skills during his decade in the British Army. Actor and pilot John Travolta presented the aviation award to the Duke of Sussex, who said “it is important to remember that aviation only advances by celebrating each and every person from design, and factory floor to mechanics and safety staff.” The event, organised by the non-profit Kiddie Hawk Air Academy, aims to inspire children’s interest in aviation. The Living Legends of Aviation Awards has a history of honouring notable figures in the aviation and aerospace industries over the past 20 years, including astronauts Buzz Aldrin and James Lovell, pilot Chesley “Sully“ Sullenberger, and entrepreneurs Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk.
