1978 Dodge Colt Commercial vs Toyota Corolla and Ford Fiesta AUDIO ISSUES BE ADVISED

Sorry on the Audio Issues, I think it’s important to share this video despite the sound quality, there’s only so much you can do to restore 50 year old film. This film shows the full line of Dodge Imports for 1978. Chrysler Corporation, the parent company of Dodge had the marketing rights in the USA for Mitsubishi Vehicles. Mitsubishi didn’t create a dealer network until 1985 in the USA, 20 years behind the other Japanese companies. They took a different approached and licensed their vehicle to Chrysler. They were very big sellers and were quite lucrative to Chrysler, particularly in the late 70’s when Chrysler was experiencing financial issues. I’ve always thought the 63 Dodge Dart was an influence on the Dodge Colt Styling for 1978. The Mitsubishi Galant and Lancer were both sold as simply the Colt in the USA for Dodge Dealers.
