For the longest time, Sony was the most dominant TV maker in the world. In 2006, they lost this title to Samsung, and it’s only been downhill for Sony ever since. In fact, Samsung has now held that title for nearly 20 years and Sony has fallen all the way to 5th place in terms of market share. Currently, they only control a mere 5.7% of the market from what used to be 15% back in 2005.
