NEW Nazca Lines Hypothesis + 168 New Discoveries | Ancient Architects

The Nazca Lines are one of the world’s most famous ancient enigmas, a collection of giant geoglyphs and they’re located in the Peruvian coastal plain, around 250 miles south of Lima, Peru. They were created between 500 BC and 500 AD and made by people making depressions or shallow incisions in the desert floor, removing pebbles and leaving differently-coloured dirt exposed. In November 2019, a research group at Yamagata University announced the discovery of 143 new geoglyphs and in December 2022, they announced 168 more, and this is all with the help of AI technology. Some have said they were ceremonial walkways and that they had religious symbolism, others have said they’re an astronomical calendar, and yes some believe they are landing pads for UFOs. This week, Masato Sakai, one of the Yamagata University researchers who has been working to find new geoglyphs, has had his say, offering a new interpretation.
